For more than 20 years, TVEyes has invested in tools and technologies that enable data-driven professionals to leverage audio and video content to inform their strategies. This year is no exception. In the first quarter of 2024 alone, we have launched three new products that extend the capabilities we make available to our users – who work in Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, the White House, the halls of Congress, and more.

And for good reason. Nearly two-thirds of Americans (66%) get their news from television; more than half get it from radio (52%) and nearly 9 out of 10 (86%) get news while on their devices – a place where content from streaming services, podcasts and elsewhere is also readily and easily accessible.

TVEyes users have the ability to access, understand, and predict how the public dialogue will affect their organizations. They use this information to shape strategies around PR, sales, reputation management, competitive intelligence, due diligence, market positioning and entry, and more.

Our Business Intelligence Data into Your API

Customers can now use TVEyes data via APIs to visualize and analyze data in multiple, widely used business intelligence tools, such as Tableau. The API results are based on keyword matches and include the text of the broadcast, station name and call letters, result time and length, audience and viewership data (where available), and advertising data (also where available).

This offering means users can consolidate data from disparate sources into a single, centralized platform that gives a unified view of business metrics and performance indicators. With it, users can create interactive charts, graphs, and dashboards that make complex, unstructured data like broadcast and podcast mentions, easier to understand and analyze. It also means users can streamline their data analysis and reporting processes, reducing the time and effort required to extract insights from large datasets.

YouTube Monitoring with TVEyes

YouTube is one of the most influential trendsetter platforms. It boasts more than 2.7 billion monthly active users worldwide and approximately 122 million users per day. It is the second-largest search engine and the second-most visited website after Google.

TVEyes customers can now access YouTube Monitoring. Our YouTube Monitoring service empowers customers to discover relevant content across thousands of the most popular YouTube videos via search and alerting. We monitor more than 18,000 channels from YouTube’s Trending and News categories, producing approximately 3,000 hours of searchable video content every day alongside relevant metadata.

You Asked, You Got It: Ad-Aware

Ad-Aware is a new technology that allows TVEyes users to identify ads in broadcast content and, conversely, identify content that does not contain ads. This is a critical capability, for example, for those looking to monitor the organic news coverage of a brand, topic, or influencer and to separate it from paid advertising content.

Using fingerprinting solutions, the Ad-Aware technology enables APIs such as our Page Feed to add a new layer of data intelligence. We detect paid TV advertising across US TV channels and subsequently “tag” those ad spots with metadata. This data filter allows API customers to divide broadcast content into searchable “pages” that are identified as either ad pages or non-ad pages. By using Ad-Aware, API end customers can easily separate paid media mentions from earned media mentions, finally silencing troublesome alerts in their feeds.

More than ever, TVEyes users are able to find the audio and video content and data they need, when they need it, and with the necessary context to leverage it to the fullest. To learn more about how you can always “Find It Here” with TVEyes, get in touch at partnerships@tveyes.com today.
